![]() The latest game to the Angry Birds breathes some new life into the what some thought was a fading franchise. A small issue in what is an overall good game. But in a few levels in this installment it wasn't as clear. What I mean is that in previous Angry Birds series it was easy to tell where the slingshot was, and where the birds are as they flew through the air. One thing I didn't like about the new gameplay was that it was often hard to realize where the birds were. Within the game I felt that it was enough of a change to the Angry Birds franchise to keep me interested. I thought it was quite interesting using the gravity of each planet to whip the bird around and get it to go where you want. Space provides the same concept of "hit pig with bird using slingshot" as the rest of the series, but the over all gameplay is quite different. Rovio has created them in a way that helps tell a story - after all what is a game other than a story that you get to interact with? Well, at least that's what I feel makes up the DNA for a good game, and Angry Birds Space accomplishes this. Don't get me wrong the visuals are in no way bad. ![]() Angry Birds Space, just like the rest, have put more focus on the accuracy of the in-game physics than providing a realistic 3D environment. If you're a mobile gamer who cares more about the shader models, particle effects, and the anti-aliasing settings than how the game plays, then you may be disappointed. Make sure you follow the on-screen instructions as some of those birds have special powers and will make getting the pigs a little bit easier. Something you'll learn as you play the game is how to use the planets' gravitational pull in your favor.Īs you progress through the game levels you will be awarded with new birds to help you on your crusade to rid the world of egg stealing pigs. If not try again and again until you succeed. Okay, so you've got the bird pulled back and aimed where you want it, now just let go! Once you let go the bird will fly across space and hopefully hit those nasty pigs. At this point you can also adjust the angle at which the bird will launch from. Once you've got a bird it's quite simple, just hold your finger over the bird, slide it back and the slingshot will stretch. Before each round the sling shot auto sets with one bird ready to go. The previous games in this series use the same very simple game controls, and Angry Birds Space is no different. While I'm sure most of you reading this review have had the chance to play at least one of the Angry Birds games, there may still be a few of you who haven't, and that's no problem at all. ![]() In the summer time that's approx 16-24 miles per hour of charging or 192 to >250 miles in a 12 hour overnight charge session. Given that I don't know how far you drive every day you might be quite pleased with 16 or 24amps. This means for example, if you want to run 10AWG you can set the EVSE to 24amps. Also keep in mind that if you select a smaller wire you can dial down the max current that the EVSE advertises. I think what you are looking for is 8/3 w/ ground (future proof), or 8/2 w/ground (minimum for 220v service). 40amps isn't bad to shoot for, it is what my Model S charges at. All the EVSE does is make sure that 220v gets to the plug when the car is plugged in. Keep in mind the EVSE is just a fancy extension cord that (among other things) advises the car's on board charger how much juice it can draw. ![]() Also seems like a no-brainer for people who aren't able to pull a full 50A circuit to their EVSE.Īlso worth noting that with the sale the 40 is the same price as is available on Costco, the cheapest price I've seen.Īmazon is selling both units for the same price as the eMotorWerks store: Ĭlick to expand. The Bolt's on board charger is limited to 32amps. For those not familiar the JuiceBox Lite 40 was identical to the JuiceBox Pro 40 but had a more limited feature set, but could be upgraded to a Pro model for an additional charge.Īnyways, the price list price in the eMotorWerks store is $549 for the 32 and $619 for the 40 but they are having a sale so it's currently $449 for the 32 and $549 for the 40, so $100 cheaper, a good price for a Bolt owner since the Bolt is limited to 32A anyways, though obviously the 40A version is more future proof as it will be able to provide 25% faster charging to EVs that can handle higher current. Maybe this is old news but I just noticed that there is a new product in the eMotorWerks store, the JuiceBox Pro 32 which seems to have identical features to the JuiceBox Pro 40 but as you would probably guess is limited to 32A/7.7kW instead of 40A/10kW like it's big brother, the JuiceBox Pro 40.Īlso the new unit seems to have replaced the old JuiceBox Lite 40 EVSE as the least expensive JuiceBox in the lineup. ![]() The Medium (which is about 1.5 sizes down for me normally) works fine for me in most freezing conditions with a light mid insulation layer under it. Update - After many more days skiing in this suit I'm still loving it. But there are a few gotchas on this you should be aware of before purchase. ![]() Overall a strong recommend due to distinctive look and functionality/simplicity. Wearing this gives the feeling of doing more with less stuff. The biggest positive is that this replaces two older articles of clothing and is just simpler. This doesn't change my score because I do not typically use a hood. This is just preliminary but I don't think it's going to work well. I could see walking around with the hood on, but I need my full range of motion for skiing. It fits over my helmet but my head can only turn a little bit with it on. #2 is going to be more tricky.) I haven't needed the hood yet, but I doubt its big enough to go over a helmet and actually be used skiing. A crotch zip has made going to the bathroom easy. I haven't used it above freezing but I don't anticipate that it will overheat until spring skiing. I haven't used it in rain/wet conditions yet so that will be a tougher test. breathability and windproofing seems good so far. I've skied in this at freezing and below and I definitely needed a warm midlayer to keep warm. I hope they change the design to allow a normal belt and suspenders that can hold the suit up higher on the body during active use. The suspender/belt issue is a design fail from my point of view. The placement of attach points in this version also means normal suspenders can not work. This is because the attachment points are all in the back of the suit and the suspenders will stress your neck if you tighten them up enough to actually hold the pants up. They do not work well to hold the suit up during actual skiing, the more customary use of suspenders. The provided suspenders are seem designed only to allow wearing the suit half-on/half off to cool off or apres. I would rate that version a star less if I had bought it. I purchased the neoshell version without detachable suspenders, but I tried the other kind and disliked the detachable suspenders provided. detachable suspenders were added, and some of the internal horizontal loops for suspenders were removed (now only the provided suspenders will work). The material changed between eVent to neoshell. Second biggest note is that the design and material changed significantly over the past few years. ![]() This must have been designed by people who walk around with pants around their knees. Loosely enough that sometimes it feels like the crotch falls low enough to constrict leg movement when walking. I got a Medium in this and it fits loosely. I'm 5'10" 195 lbs and typically wear XL for loose fit, L for tight/athletic. The biggest thing to note is that sizing on this more than a whole size off for a normal fit. I was careful to buy a bright color and it gives me a very distinctive and recognizable look on the mountain. I've only worn this skiing a couple times, so this review is a bit preliminary. ![]() Try to link up double and triple word bonuses to get really high points.I didn’t manage to go higher than Novice, let me know the highest rank you have reached! Studying the studiesĪdvocates of using ivermectin for COVID-19 treatment often cite "dozens" of studies that show benefits of ivermectin in combating COVID-19, but a closer look at the studies shows that some of them have been retracted for flawed or fabricated data and analysis, while many of the other solid randomized trials have shown no benefits. "Historically, hydroxychloroquine played a big role in year one, ivermectin year two, and I'm thinking probably Pfizer and Merck in year three," McCullough said, despite there being no evidence that hydroxychloroquine played a big role in combating the coronavirus in the first year of the pandemic nor that ivermectin played a big role or was an effective treatment in the second year.īut the bigger problem, experts say, is that doctors like McCullough tout ivermectin as a better safeguard against COVID-19 illness than using scientifically proven COVID-19 vaccinations, against the consensus of nearly all major medical institutions. Sawyer said that because physicians like McCullough tout unproven COVID-19 treatments like ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine while discouraging vaccines, many patients who believe disinformation "like a matter of faith" become critically ill from COVID-19. Peter McCullough, a Texas cardiologist, who promotes ivermectin as part of a "multi-drug protocol" aimed at early treatment of COVID-19 outpatients - despite the FDA and CDC's warning that people should not be taking ivermectin at all for COVID-19 treatment outside of a clinical trial. It's not stated what the two bikes being compared here are so apart from head angle they're an unknown. Other factors apart from seat tube angle (wheelbase etc) can have an influence on how well a bike climbs in certain situations. The rider's choice of positioning when sitting on the saddle affects weight distribution also (eg: sitting out on the nose or sitting further back on the saddle). On top of this effective seat tube angle is affected by the choice of seatpost head offset and on full suspension bikes the amount of suspension sag (more suspension sag gives a slacker effective seat tube angle when riding). Sliding the saddle fully forwards or back on the rails is around a 2 degree change in seat tube angle by itself. Although a geometry chart may show a newer bike having a steeper seat tube angle than an older bike there is quite a bit of adjustment of effective seat angle available. Outwardly identical bikes with the same frame can potentially be set up very differently. The Evo has me PR'ing everything, and in some cases it's a good match for my Diverge up fire roads etc.Ĭlick to expand. When it comes to climbing it's rider weight distribution that matters most. I do expect people coming from lightweight hardtails with steep HTAs to "feel" that the bike is not as efficient, because it's not as nervous, and over the front wheel. There is a need to work on the shock tune to find the sweet spot, esp rebound damping. Might be helped by how the new SIDs perform as well. If I hit a rooty section, this would bog the old bikes down, loss of speed and flow, since I always had to work to unweight the front by moving my butt backwards. The new geo also brings more speed - it keeps momentum more easily in rough terrain, both up and on the flat/rolling trails. Much unlike my '19 Stumpjumper LT which I liked much better in high for everything except enduros. ![]() When I saw the geo numbers, especially the HTA, I expected to flip the Evo to high mode for xc-style trails, but have not felt the slightest need to. I'm very happy how the new Evo will climb silly steeps without the need for wrapping your limbs around the bars. This helps the bike handle better at slower speeds and on technical terrain, and. This would often mean that I had to get out of the saddle to keep it down, and would spin out from loss of traction. A slacker head tube angle lengthens the wheelbase and pushes the front wheel out further from the bottom bracket. When it comes to racey handling, expect a fork trail of 55 to 59mm and a steep head angle of72.5-73º. I'm on XL's, and on the '18 I would have issues with front wheel lift when it got steep and technical. I'll also chip in that I find my '21 Evo to climb better than my '18 Epic in both std as well as Evo'd guide, and also better than my '16 Epic. |
